Aidan King cycling coach

Devon-BASED cyclist & coach

I’m Aidan King, a cyclist, coach and chef based in Exeter, Devon. From a decade in Motocross to racing enduro mountain bike, in 2019 I ventured into road cycling.

My journey on two wheels has been nothing short of exhilarating. After overcoming a car knock resulting in no road confidence to then a snapped collarbone ending my MTB racing, I shifted gears to regain my road confidence—and I haven’t looked back since.

In 2022, I made a triumphant return, completing the iconic Lands End to John O' Groats ride and raising £7,000 for charity. Since then I have ticked off 3 Everestings, and a 10k virtual Everesting. Having cycled 400km for Exeter Leukaemia Fund in a single ride, my ambitions turned to endurance riding. After finishing in the top third at the national hill climb, and winning some local TTs on the road bike, my big ambition to do a sub-12-hour Mallorca 312 was also now ticked off.

And here we are, currently still working as a chef, but studying a BSc in Sport, Fitness and coaching, which leads to this website. The start of my coaching journey is underway and with various types of riding across different countries, racing and a good nutritional understanding, I am an accredited training peaks coach and am here to offer my time and help those who are looking to reach their ambitions with the guidance and lessons I have learnt in reaching mine.
